Full description
Ten good places. No endless scrolling. You know the drill: five tabs open, forty reviews skimmed, and you still can't tell if the four-star ramen place is actually good or just good at getting reviewed. Harry Hungry skips all that. Tell Harry what you're in the mood for — ramen, date night, cheap eats, whatever — and he hands you exactly ten places worth leaving the house for. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT Every score comes from an independent restaurant guide (harryhungry.com), not a crowd of strangers rating their own brunch. Harry reads across Google, Yelp, Tripadvisor and more, weighs the sources against each other, and adjusts for what raw star ratings ignore — tourist skew, thin review samples, single-site hype. What you get is one Harry Score out of 100, plus a separate Worth It score that asks the blunter question: is this actually worth what you'll pay? Where a place has earned one, you'll also see its H Star — Harry's own 1-to-5 star award, price-blind, with published thresholds, held only by places with a proper, verified review base across the board. Every pick opens into a full decision card: why Harry likes it, any warning worth knowing before you go, where the ratings actually come from (source by source), and mentions in the real press — not just another five-star badge. FEATURES • Type a craving — "ramen," "date night," "cheap eats," "fancy dinner" — or tap a quick-idea chip to get going • Filter by mood (Worth It, Date Night, Cheap, Fancy, Late Night, Brunch), toggle Open Now, and set how far you'll travel — walk, bike, or drive • Tap "Near me" for one search around your current spot — your location is used for that request only, never stored, never tied to an identity • Get exactly ten picks, sortable by Harry Score, Worth It, or distance, plus a few "also considered" places and why they didn't quite make the cut • Tap through for the full decision card: why-Harry text, warnings, the source-by-source rating breakdown, and editorial mentions • Get directions, call, or reserve/visit the website, straight from the card • Save places you like, swipe to remove them, long-press for quick actions • No account, no sign-in, no ads Harry Hungry isn't trying to replace your judgment. It's trying to save you the twenty minutes of tab-switching before you use it. Tell Harry what you fancy — he's already done the digging.
