Gluttonauts is an eat-and-grow arcade game through the real history of life on Earth. Every creature you eat — and every creature that eats you — actually existed. Most of them are weirder than anything we could have invented. ▶ HOW IT PLAYS - One thumb. Swim, eat, dodge. Runs of a few minutes, no tutorial walls. - Grow bigger with every bite. When you're big enough, yesterday's monster is today's snack. - Mutate between stages: pick a trait card — armour, fins, a bigger mouth, electric sense — and build a creature that is yours. - Journey through a hand-made world: cross the threshold into the next region only when you've earned it, and watch the ocean change around you. - Get eaten? Carry on where you fell. Nothing is ever locked behind a timer. ▶ 500 MILLION YEARS OF REAL MONSTERS - PRIMORDIAL — plankton, trilobites, five-eyed Opabinia, and Anomalocaris, Earth's first apex predator. - AQUATIC — armoured fish, sea scorpions the size of a man, and Dunkleosteus, which had no teeth and sharpened its own jawbones into blades. - AMPHIBIAN — the first legs. Tiktaalik crawls out of the swamp; Meganeura, a dragonfly the size of a hawk, hunts above it. - REPTILE — dinosaurs. Velociraptor packs, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, and Spinosaurus waiting in the river. - …and the ladder keeps climbing. New eras and creatures arrive in every update. ▶ FUNNY, GROTESQUE, AND TRUE Every animal is drawn as a top-down cartoon with far too many teeth, and every one comes with a field-guide card: when it lived, how big it was, what it ate, and the odd story behind it (scientists drew Hallucigenia upside down and back to front for forty years).
