Grandhika: Library Manager

Grandhika is a library management app for schools, colleges, public libraries and home collections across India. ADD BOOKS BY SCANNING THE COVER Point the camera at a book cover and Grandhika reads the printed title, author and publisher — in English and Malayalam. Check what it found, correct anything that needs correcting, and save. You do not have to type a whole catalogue by hand. MEMBERS AND LENDING Keep member records, issue and return books, and see at a glance what is out and what is overdue. Member categories and group structure follow the kind of library you run — classes and divisions for a school, membership types for a public library. CASHBOOK Record receipts and payments as they happen. Money is tracked in three places: the cash box, the bank, and money the librarian has spent from their own pocket. Transfers between them — a bank deposit, or repaying the librarian — are recorded without being counted twice as income or expense. REPORTS Print or share member lists, book lists, overdue lists and cashbook statements as PDF, in Malayalam or English. BUILT FOR DIFFERENT KINDS OF LIBRARIES A school library, a college library, a public library and a home collection do not work the same way. Grandhika changes its terms, roles and categories to match yours instead of forcing school vocabulary on everyone. ABOUT ACCOUNTS Grandhika is used with a library account.
