SPINLACE is an enamel-and-brass arcade game about one strange little decision, made over and over: is this wire worth one more turn? Enamel sparks drift and bounce inside a warm ivory plaque. Drag one onto another and a brass filament clasps between them. The pair immediately begins to whirl about its own middle — and the line between the two sparks is your only tool. It scythes enamel blooms off the plaque as it sweeps. You steer nothing. You aim nothing. You choose a pair, and then you choose when to stop. THE WIRE IS ALWAYS DYING A filament wears out faster the longer it is and the faster it spins. A big, quick sweep clears half the plaque in seconds and burns out almost as fast. A short lazy one lives forever and harvests nothing. Sweeping a bloom whose enamel matches your wire's colour polishes strain back into it, so a well-chosen pair can keep itself alive. CUT IT, OR PUSH IT Tap a live filament and it clasps off safely: both sparks survive, and you bank eighteen points times your sweeps SQUARED. Two sweeps pays 72. Six pays 648. Ten pays 1,800. Let the strain run out instead and the wire snaps — both sparks shatter and one of your three plaques is gone. It is the only way to lose. Nothing on the plaque can hurt you unless you clasped it yourself. • Grey-green tarnish drifting across the plaque, costing a big bite of strain if your sweep clips it • Four charms — SLOW, TEMPER, GILD, FLOURISH — picked up by any loose spark or by the wire itself • A FESTOON surge every twelve blooms that floods the plaque and eases the drain • A chain multiplier that climbs to ×4 while you keep sweeping • Seven permanent workshop upgrades: thicker filament, slower wear, longer reach, richer yield, stronger anneal, more wires at once, one more plaque • Three kiln settings, from Gentle to Keen, that genuinely change how fast the wire wears
