GigClick: Metronome, Setlists

GigClick is a metronome built by a gigging drummer for practice, rehearsals and live shows. Save your songs, organise setlists and keep the count visible while you play. STEADY TIMING GigClick uses the audio hardware clock to keep time, from 20 to 300 BPM. The click keeps playing with the screen on or off. Notifications don’t lower its volume or interrupt it. TIME SIGNATURES AND GROUPING Count 6/8 in two, or 7/8 in four with a shorter last beat. Create custom meters and choose how they’re grouped: 2+2+3, 3+2+2 or whatever your song needs. The tempo display tells you which note the BPM refers to, such as a dotted quarter in 6/8. A COUNT YOU CAN SEE The large counter shows beats and subdivisions, including counts such as “1 e & a”. Subdivisions are dimmer so the main beat stands out, and beat one flashes in your chosen accent colour. GigClick adjusts the display timing for Bluetooth speakers and in-ear monitors. You can fine-tune it manually if your equipment needs further adjustment. Full-screen Gig Mode shows the count, your setlist and a large start/stop control. SONGS AND SETLISTS • Save each song’s tempo, meter and click pattern, and organise songs into folders. • Add song sections with tempo and meter changes at bar boundaries. • Build setlists and drag songs to reorder them. • Use large previous and next controls to load each song’s settings. • See the next song while you play. • Use headset, lock-screen and media controls. Page-turner pedals and volume buttons can step through songs. • Export setlists as printable PDFs. • Export and import library backups. SHARE A CLICK BETWEEN PHONES One phone leads, and up to eight others can join on the same Wi-Fi network or hotspot. Join using a QR code or enter the leader’s address and joining code. Each phone plays its own click, with playback controlled by the leader. Songs with sections are shared too, so phones change section on the same bar. Followers can see the current song, notes, setlist position and next song. If the connection drops, their click keeps playing locally and GigClick shows that they are no longer synchronised. Share click needs no account or internet server. Song and setlist information is sent over the local network, so avoid including sensitive information in names or notes. QR joining uses Google Code Scanner. Scan images are processed on your device, but the scanner sends technical and usage data to Google. You can enter joining details manually, although opening Share click also initialises the scanner. PRACTICE TOOLS • Quarter-note, eighth-note, triplet and sixteenth-note clicks. • Accents and muting for individual beats. • Gap Trainer silences the click for selected bars to help you practise keeping time. • Tempo Trainer gradually increases the BPM as you practise. • Displaced Click moves the click off the beat in steps, helping you keep the beat yourself. • Tap tempo with vibration feedback. • Built-in practice guides. SOUND AND DISPLAY SETTINGS Choose from eight click sounds: Classic, Woodblock, Soft, Cowbell, Rimshot, Clave, Hi-hat and Shaker. Adjust the click pitch and volume, accent colour and beat-flash strength. The dark interface has clear, high-contrast controls for rehearsal rooms and stages.
