GFA Check-in

GFA Check-in is the door scanner used by staff and volunteers at GFA International's live events. Point the phone at a guest's e-ticket QR code and the result appears straight away, large and colour-coded, so a door keeps moving even with a long queue. FOR EVENT STAFF ONLY This app is not for buying or holding tickets, and it does nothing until GFA International sets the phone up. Each door phone gets its own setup code from the event admin: scan it once and the phone is ready. Ticket holders do not need this app; e-tickets arrive by email. AT THE DOOR • Scan a ticket's QR code: green to admit, with the seat and the ticket tier shown large in the tier's own colour, so staff hand over the right wristband. • Every ticket admits once. A second scan shows "Already used" and when it was first scanned, on every phone at every door. • Refunded and cancelled tickets are refused clearly. • A door can be set to admit certain tiers only. A ticket for another queue is turned away with the right entrance named, without being checked in, so it still works at its own door. • Meet & Greet holders are flagged when their seat ticket is scanned, and their pass scans separately at the Meet & Greet. • No QR code to hand? Type the booking reference printed on the ticket to find the booking and admit its seats one by one. • Admit and reject sounds and vibration, so staff can keep their eyes on the queue. • Recent scans, and live counts for the door and the whole venue, whenever staff want them. BUILT FOR A BUSY DOOR • Each scan is one small request, so it copes with modest phones and patchy venue data. • Many phones can scan the same event at once, and a ticket is still only ever admitted once. • A lost phone can be switched off from the admin straight away. PRIVACY The camera is used only to scan ticket codes. The app does not ask for an account, your location, your contacts or the microphone.
