Full description
You can't focus because you never practice focusing. Karter is a 15-minute daily focus practice: breathe for five minutes, hold one reflection question for five minutes, then test your attention with a simple concentration drill. No streaks. No badges. No wellness fluff. Just a short daily practice that treats attention like a muscle — something you train, measure, and build. THE DAILY PRACTICE 1. BREATH — 5 minutes A paced breathing exercise to settle your mind before you train. Choose box breathing (4-4-4-4), calm breathing (4-7-8), or a simple pattern (4-6). 2. REFLECTION — 5 minutes One question per day. Not journaling homework — you sit with a single question and let it work. A rotating set of prompts helps you understand what actually drives your attention, energy, and follow-through. 3. DRILL — 5 minutes A sustained-attention drill based on the same style of task researchers use to measure concentration. It shows you exactly when your mind drifts — and over days, whether your attention span is getting longer. HONEST PROGRESS Karter logs your completed sessions and shows your real numbers: sessions completed, drill accuracy, drift counts. No vanity metrics, no guilt mechanics. If you miss a day, you miss a day. FOCUS TIMER INCLUDED When it's time to actually work, a built-in focus timer (25/5 Pomodoro-style intervals) helps you put your trained attention to use on deep work. WHAT KARTER IS NOT – Not a meditation library with 400 sleep stories. – Not a habit tracker that shames you with broken streaks. – Not a subscription trap. Free to use. PRIVACY, PLAINLY No ads. No selling data. Usage analytics only if you explicitly say yes — and you can turn it off anytime in Settings. Your email and your practice data are used to run the app, nothing else. WHO IT'S FOR People who feel their attention span shrinking — students, knowledge workers, founders, anyone whose work depends on concentration — and who'd rather train for 15 minutes a day than read another productivity article. Fifteen minutes a day. Sharper thinking within two weeks. Start today's session.
