Ghost Vault: Hide Photos

Ghost Vault is a private photo vault that hides your personal photos and videos behind a PIN and keeps them encrypted and invisible. Every file is encrypted with AES-256-GCM the moment you import it, before it ever touches storage. On Android 10 and newer, the app then offers to delete the original from your gallery. Ghost Vault Free is supported by ads, so it uses the internet to show them. Your photos, videos and PIN never leave your phone: nothing is uploaded, nothing syncs, and there is no account to create. Remove the ads any time with a one-time purchase, or choose Ghost Vault Pro, which has no internet permission at all. RECENTLY ADDED ▶️ A built-in VLC engine plays MP4, MKV, AVI, WMV and more, even files your phone cannot open. Swipe up or down for the next photo or video, and turn your phone for full-screen landscape. 📤 Get your photos back out, whenever you choose. Copy or move photos and videos to your gallery or to any folder you pick, confirmed with your PIN every time. Saved copies are not encrypted, and the app tells you so before anything leaves. 🖼️ Full-quality imports. JPEG and PNG photos keep their full resolution, PNGs keep their transparency, and GPS location and other hidden photo metadata are stripped on the way in. WHAT YOU GET 🛡️ Real AES-256-GCM encryption, built on Google Tink, with PBKDF2 key derivation at 310,000 iterations and an SQLCipher-encrypted database. Your PIN is the only key. 📷 Photos and videos: import from your gallery, or take a photo or record a video straight into the vault so it never lands in your camera roll. 🔐 Encrypted video playback: videos are decrypted in memory as they play. No unencrypted temporary file is ever written to disk. 🎭 16 app icon disguises: make Ghost Vault look like a Camera, Phone, Clock, Notes or Files app on your home screen. Hidden in plain sight. 👆 Fingerprint unlock, with your PIN as the fallback. 🔒 Instant lock the moment you leave the app, with screenshots and the Recent Apps preview blocked. ⏱️ Escalating lockout: repeated wrong PINs trigger longer and longer lockouts, and the wait cannot be skipped by changing the date or restarting the phone. 🗂️ Folders, search, sort, favorites, slideshow, storage stats and a 30-day recycle bin. 📝 Secure notes: keep passwords, codes and private text encrypted in the same vault. PERFECT FOR • Keeping personal photos private when you hand your phone to a friend or your kids • Hiding ID scans, passport photos and financial documents on a shared device • People who do not want their private life sitting in a cloud photo backup WHY GHOST VAULT No account and no analytics. Ads come from Google AdMob, never see your vault, and can be removed with a one-time purchase. It runs on Android 8.0 and up and speaks 13 languages. The encryption is not homemade: Google Tink AES-256-GCM, with your PIN stretched through 310,000 rounds of PBKDF2 so a stolen phone cannot be brute-forced quickly. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU IMPORT There is no cloud backup. Save to device gives you copies of your photos, not a backup of the vault itself. If you lose your phone, uninstall the app or forget your PIN, what is inside the vault cannot be recovered, not by you and not by us. Keep a separate copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Also worth knowing: when the app removes an original from your gallery, Android deletes the gallery entry, but on some devices the underlying data may still be recoverable with forensic tools. Your vault copy is always encrypted. Want no internet and no ads at all? Ghost Vault Pro is a separate app with no internet permission. It also adds a Decoy Vault with its own PIN, a Self-Destruct PIN, Intruder Selfie with an intruder log, a working Calculator disguise, panic gestures and Lockdown mode.
