The Gen

The Gen is a safer, verified community app for transgender, non-binary, gender-questioning and gender-exploring adults to meet, talk, learn and build real connection. Every member completes identity and age verification before joining, so you're never navigating this alone in an unverified crowd. The Gen is built specifically for people exploring or living with a gender-diverse identity, along with anyone who wants to meet others who understand their experience without having to explain it first. WHAT YOU CAN DO ON THE GEN • Complete a simple, private verification process to join a safer community • Set up a profile with your interests, pronouns and preferences • Discover compatible community members through Mixers, our way of introducing you to people based on shared interests and mutual preferences • Review a limited profile preview and choose to accept before any conversation begins, nothing starts without both people agreeing • Chat, and connect by voice or video once you're both ready • Add friends and keep in touch beyond a first conversation • Book time with experienced community members (Pros) for peer guidance and support A SAFER APPROACH TO CONNECTION The Gen is not a dating app, and it's not an anonymous or random chat service. Every match goes through mutual review and acceptance before a conversation starts, and you're always in control, you can decline, skip, block or report at any time. WHO THE GEN IS FOR The Gen is for verified adults (18+) who want a more intentional way to connect around gender identity, self-expression and community, including people who are transgender, non-binary, questioning, or exploring their gender, and anyone looking for genuine connection outside mainstream social and dating apps. Pros on The Gen are experienced community members, not medical or therapy professionals. The Gen is not a medical advice app, a therapy service, or a crisis support line.
