Full description
ClassCaller is a fast, focused participation tracking app built by a 30+ year classroom teacher who couldn't find the tool he needed — so he built it himself. - Random student draw with 7 scoring scales, or build your own - Participation history for every student - Random groups of any size, with separation constraints, saved and reusable - Wear OS companion app - CSV import for rosters, or export session detail and student summary - Works offline — your data stays on your device –No ads. No subscriptions. No in-app purchases. Ever.– You pay once and own it. No paywalls, no premium tiers, nothing locked behind a subscription. –Random Student Draw Sessions– Draw a random student instantly. Score their response with one tap. See at a glance who's been called, who's volunteered, who's asked questions, and who's been absent — across every class and session. Over time the patterns show — who gets called most, who never volunteers — so every student gets a fair chance. –Flexible scoring– Choose from 7 built-in scoring systems : 0–5, 1–5, 0–1, Yes/No, 1–10, or description based scales like Needs work/Developing/Proficient/Mastery, and Beginning/Developing/Proficient/Exemplary. Or build two of your own with the labels and values you use. Set a default, or change it at the start of any session. –Sessions that work the way you teach– Keep students in the pool with replacement and set a gap before anyone repeats, or go without replacement to call each student at most once. Record a volunteer or a question without interrupting the draw. Mark a student absent when their name comes up and they won't be drawn again until you reinstate them. Auto-advance to the next draw, or wait until you're ready. –Quick Draw– Sometimes you just need a name. Quick Draw picks one instantly and records nothing — no session, no scores, no history. It shows who's up next and the last few drawn, and you choose whether names can repeat. On the phone, or straight from your watch. –Random groups, saved and reusable– Choose any group size and generate random groups in seconds. Use three separation badges to keep particular students apart, or force students together. Mark students absent on the group page if you don't want them grouped. Save any arrangement as a named set — Lab Partners, Quiz Groups, Seating Chart — and reuse it whenever you like. A class can hold as many sets as you need. Add a student later and your sets are kept, with a note telling you which don't include everyone yet. Show a set full-screen to the class with the markers hidden, or export it as an image. –Run a session by group– Draw a whole group instead of one student. One member is highlighted to answer, and your score applies to every present member. Mark someone absent and a new spokesperson is drawn from the same group. –Full participation history– Tap any student to see their complete record — times drawn, average scores, volunteer totals, question levels, skips, and absences. Toggle between all-time and since-last-clear. Export into a spreadsheet (CSV file) — session detail and student summary — for any session, class, or all classes at once. –Also includes– 10 color themes with full light and dark mode, and detailed instruction pages. Nothing is deleted by accident: archive a class, student or session and it leaves your lists and totals until you reinstate it. Type in classes and students, or import a roster from a spreadsheet. Works completely offline — your data stays on your device until you export it yourself. –Optional (but incredible) Wear OS companion– Galaxy Watch and other Wear OS watches. Draw and score individually or by group, or use Quick Draw, straight from your wrist — so you don't even have to carry your phone. Classes, themes and scoring scales sync across automatically. Written by a teacher with 30+ years in classrooms from middle school to university. This is the app I spent years searching for. Eventually I stopped searching and built it.

What's new

A big update since 1.0: • Groups — build them randomly or keep students apart, save sets to reuse, and run whole-group sessions • Quick Draw — just pick a name, nothing recorded • Custom score scales • Archive classes, students and sessions instead of deleting them • Redesigned session screen with live counts On the watch: group sessions, Quick Draw, theme sync, bigger buttons and support for your text size. CSV import now tells you exactly which column is missing.
