Swarm: Space Shooter

Fly a lone spaceship into the storm and hold back an alien swarm in this roguelite space shooter. Your guns and ten abilities fire on their own, so this auto shooter is about the build you choose, not how fast you tap. Play one-handed in portrait mode: the first sortie lasts 40 seconds, and each next one runs a little longer. How to play: It plays like a vertical shoot 'em up, except you never press fire. Your ship flies toward the Dock, a sci-fi station with a bright beam over a night ocean, while winged red-eyed creatures pour down from the clouds. Steer by hand on the first sortie, then unlock the autopilot and let it dodge enemy fire for you. When you level up, time freezes and you pick one of three cards: a new ability, more damage, a shorter cooldown, heavier guns or a tougher hull. What unlocks: Kills drop Alloy, and the Dock keeps smelting scrap into Alloy while you are away. Spend it on upgrades in the Hangar: unlock Volley, Pulse, Overload, Drone, Mines, Vortex, Shield, Beam, Chain Lightning and Magnet, then raise their levels, the hull and the guns. Pick the right pair of abilities often enough in one sortie and they evolve into Tempest, Bastion or Gravity Beam. Every sector ends with a boss, and later Survival mode opens: an endless run against the alien swarm for a record time.
