Your main objective is to collect all the stars on a large grid and reach the finish line while staying within the move limit for each level. You control the ball by swiping across the screen or tapping near the ball to move it one square at a time. The game's core mechanic revolves around portals; the grid contains pairs of portals marked with letters. If the ball enters a portal marked "A," for instance, it instantly teleports to the other portal bearing the same letter—a feature that allows you to take shortcuts and bypass obstacles. Dark blocks represent walls that cannot be crossed normally, forcing you to either go around them or use a teleporter. The game's motto is "A shortcut changes everything." Aim for that: score goals, collect stars, unlock new levels, and beat your own records by completing levels with the most moves remaining—because the fewer moves you use, the more stars you earn.
