Full description
Can you tell a Monet from a Manet? A Vermeer from a Rembrandt? Gallery Eye shows you a painting and two possible artists — one correct, one a plausible decoy. Get it right, your streak grows. Get it wrong, it resets. The longer your streak, the harder the paintings and the closer the decoys get: early rounds pair icons like the Mona Lisa against an obviously-wrong artist, while a long streak might ask you to tell Monet from Manet, or Warhol from Lichtenstein. WHAT'S INSIDE - A growing collection of paintings, spanning the Renaissance through early 20th-century modernism - "More about this work" — background on the painting and artist for every round - An optional public leaderboard, and private password-protected Friends Boards to compare your streak with people you choose - A save function to build a collection of your favourite art works BUILT ON VERIFIED PUBLIC DOMAIN ART Every painting shown has been checked, image by image, against Wikimedia Commons' own license records before being included — only works confirmed public domain worldwide make it into the game. Free to play, supported by ads.
