AaSalat

AaSalat: The Intelligent Solution for a Silent and Respectful Prayer Experience Have you ever experienced the deep embarrassment of your phone ringing loudly during a peaceful moment of congregational prayer? AaSalat (formerly known as SalatTime) is a specialized utility application meticulously designed for the global Muslim community. Our mission is simple but vital: to ensure that smartphones never disturb the sanctity and tranquility of the masjid. By leveraging advanced automation and real-time geographical data, AaSalat handles your device’s volume management automatically, allowing you to focus entirely on your spiritual journey and your connection with the Creator. 🕌 CORE FEATURES & SMART AUTOMATION 1. High-Precision Prayer Times (Al Adhan API Integration) AaSalat does not rely on static or outdated schedules. By integrating the industry-standard Al Adhan API, the app calculates exact prayer times—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—based on your precise latitude and longitude. Whether you are at your local home mosque or traveling across the globe, your prayer windows are always perfectly synchronized with the local astronomical calculations of your current location. 2. Intelligent Mosque Detection (Google Place API) We harness the collaborative power of OpenStreetMap (OSM) to identify thousands of places of worship worldwide. AaSalat creates a dynamic "geofence" around mosques. The moment you step inside a recognized mosque boundary, the app acknowledges your presence and prepares to manage your device settings according to your preferences. 3. Automatic Silent Mode & Volume Restore The true power of AaSalat lies in its "Set it and Forget it" philosophy: •Auto-Mute: When you are inside a mosque during a prayer interval, the app automatically switches your phone to Silent or Vibrate mode. •Auto-Restore: As soon as you exit the mosque boundaries or the prayer time window concludes, your original volume settings are instantly restored. You will never miss an important family call or work notification after leaving the masjid. 🛰️ WHY BACKGROUND LOCATION IS ESSENTIAL To provide a truly seamless and reliable experience, AaSalat requires Background Location Access. We understand that privacy is a sacred trust, and we want to be fully transparent about why this permission is the backbone of our service: •Uninterrupted Real-Time Monitoring: For the app to "know" you have entered a mosque while your phone is tucked away in your pocket or while your screen is locked, it must be able to check your location periodically in the background. •Battery Efficiency: Our custom algorithm is highly optimized to minimize battery consumption. It intelligently polls for location only when necessary, maintaining the highest level of reliability for mosque detection without draining your device. •Hands-Free Peace of Mind: Without background access, the app would only work if you manually opened it every time you entered a mosque, which defeats the purpose of modern automation. 🛡️ DATA SAFETY & PRIVACY COMMITMENT Your trust is our priority. AaSalat is built with a Privacy-First architecture. We believe your data belongs to you: •Ephemeral Processing: Your location data is used only for real-time calculations. •No Storage: We do NOT store your location history or personal movements on any servers. •No Third-Party Sharing: Your data is never sold or shared with advertisers. •Encrypted Transit: All communication between the app and the APIs is secured via HTTPS. 🌍 GLOBAL COMPATIBILITY AaSalat works anywhere in the world where GPS and OpenStreetMap data are available. From the historic masjids of the Middle East to local prayer rooms in Europe, America, and Asia, AaSalat is your global companion for religious etiquette and modern mindfulness.
