Full description
FWRD helps you reduce distractions by adding intentional friction before you open apps or content you have chosen to limit. App blocking with Accessibility Service: FWRD uses Android's Accessibility Service to power its core app-blocking feature. When you turn on a blocking Mode, FWRD uses the Accessibility Service to detect when you open an app you have chosen to block, then shows a blocking screen that asks you to tap your FWRD card or confirm before continuing. FWRD only uses the Accessibility Service to identify the app currently in the foreground so it can apply the blocks you set up. FWRD does not use Accessibility Service to read, collect, record, log, or transmit your screen contents, typed text, passwords, private messages, or other personal content. Adult-content filtering with VpnService: FWRD also uses Android's VpnService for its adult-content restriction feature. When this feature is enabled by the user, FWRD creates a local, on-device VPN interface to help detect and block access to adult-content domains according to the blocking Mode selected by the user. FWRD's VpnService is used only for local content filtering and distraction reduction. It is not a general-purpose VPN, does not provide anonymous browsing, does not change your IP address or location, and does not route your traffic through a third-party VPN server for monetization. FWRD does not sell VPN traffic data or use VpnService for advertising. You are always in control. FWRD asks for permission before enabling Accessibility Service or VPN-based filtering. You can turn these features off at any time in Android Settings or inside the app by disabling the related Mode or uninstalling FWRD. FWRD is designed to help you pause, reflect, and make more intentional choices with your phone.

What's new

App limits are here — Set daily or session limits on distracting apps while a mode is locked. Track remaining time on Home, get a heads-up before you hit the limit, and stay focused without fully blocking the apps you still need.
