Full description
Everyone knows tic-tac-toe. Everyone also knows that two people who know what they are doing will draw every single time. XO Mini fixes that — with two rule changes that turn a solved game back into a real one, and boards big enough to think about. THREE WAYS TO PLAY Classic — the original. Take turns, line your marks up, and the first complete row wins. Misère — reversed. Completing a line LOSES you the round, so the whole game becomes about avoiding one while pushing your opponent into making it. It feels wrong for about three moves, then it feels brilliant. Vanish — you only ever hold a few marks. Place a new one and your oldest disappears, so the board never fills up and a round never grinds to a stalemate. Position matters more than territory. THREE BOARDS 3×3 — three in a row. Quick rounds, no room to hide. 5×5 — four in a row. Enough space to build two threats at once. 7×7 — five in a row. A single block no longer saves you. PLAY A FRIEND, OR THE COMPUTER Pass one phone back and forth for two-player games, or take on the AI at three levels: Easy makes mistakes you can punish. Medium is solid, but not flawless. Hard is perfect on 3×3 and ruthless on the bigger boards. The AI plays every mode, and it understands each one properly — playing to lose in Misère is a genuinely different problem from playing to win, and it adapts to how fast your phone is so it always uses its full thinking time. EVERYTHING ELSE • A leaderboard for every mode, ranked by wins • A How to Play guide with each mode shown in action • Portrait and landscape, sized properly for small phones and tablets alike • Music and sound effects, each with their own volume — or off entirely • Sounds written for the game: X and O have their own note, so you can follow a round without watching PRIVATE BY DEFAULT No account. No sign-in. Nothing to create. The game plays completely offline. Your settings, the names you type and your leaderboard stay on your device — they are not sent to us, and they are deliberately left out of Android's automatic backup, so they never reach a Google account either. Uninstalling removes them for good. Free to play, with a small banner ad. Made by FunGrid.

What's new

All-new gameplay sounds. X and O each have their own note, and a vanishing mark finally makes one. Your settings, names and leaderboard are now left out of Android's backup, so they never leave your device. The How to Play guide fits without scrolling on small phones, and every screen sizes to your device instead of to one handset. A sharper AI: it searches deeper on faster phones, and Medium now plays like a difficulty rather than a coin flip.
