Every photo you take carries hidden information: where it was taken, when, with which phone, sometimes even a tiny preview of the original picture. Share it and all of that goes with it. Metadata Cleaner shows you what your photos and videos really contain, and removes it in a few taps, on your phone. • Private by design. Your photos are read and cleaned on your device. No account, no ads, no analytics. The one optional exception: if you ask to see a photo's location on a map, the app asks you first, then loads that map from OpenStreetMap. • Thorough. EXIF, IPTC and XMP data, embedded thumbnails, camera maker notes, and the leftover bytes some editing tools keep behind a cropped picture. • Safe to share at a glance. A green shield marks files with no metadata left; a red cracked shield marks the ones that still have some. • Your choice. Remove everything, only the location, or pick the categories. Clean a whole selection at once, then keep the originals or replace them. • No quality loss. Pictures are never re-encoded: the image itself is untouched. • Free, no ads. QUESTIONS Can it remove the GPS location from a photo? Yes: choose "only the location", or remove everything. Does it need internet? No. Cleaning happens offline, on your phone. Does it change my pictures? No. The image is never re-encoded, only the hidden data is taken out. Can I keep the originals? Yes, you choose between keeping them and replacing them. Supported: JPEG, HEIC, PNG, WebP and GIF photos; MP4, MOV and 3GP videos. More formats are planned. Think of it as an EXIF viewer and a photo metadata cleaner in one: it reads the photo location, the GPS position, the date and the camera, shows them clearly, then cleans them.
