4WDGrid: Build. Drive. Explore

4WDGrid is the Australian and New Zealand home for 4WD owners. Build your rig, record every adventure, discover community-shared tracks, stay informed about closures and alerts, and connect with people who understand the 4WD lifestyle. BUILD YOUR RIG Create a digital Garage for your 4WD and document the complete build. Add modifications, photos, build history and future plans so your rig’s story stays organised in one place. Use Build Score to understand your current setup, choose a Build Goal based on how you use your vehicle, and see your suggested Next Move. DRIVE AND RECORD Start GPS Trip Recording before you drive and create an accurate history of your route and adventures. When you deliberately start a trip, 4WDGrid uses background location so GPS recording can continue if the app is minimised, another app is opened or the screen is locked. Without background location, your recorded route may stop or contain gaps. Recording remains visible while active and stops when you end and save the trip. Review your completed trips, route history and driving activity whenever you return to the app. EXPLORE REAL TRACKS Discover tracks and routes shared by the 4WD community. View useful track information, explore nearby areas and find places worth adding to your next adventure. 4WDGrid combines track discovery with real vehicle builds, trip history and community knowledge—it is more than another mapping app. STAY INFORMED See park alerts, track closures, hazards and other information that may affect your plans. Check current conditions before leaving and stay aware while exploring. JOIN THE COMMUNITY Ask questions, join discussions and learn from other 4WD owners. Share experience, discuss builds and tracks, and get practical information from people who spend time off-road. EMERGENCY SOS Access Emergency SOS tools designed to help you identify and share your location when assistance is needed. These tools support emergency communication but do not replace emergency services or dedicated satellite safety equipment.
