FossilRef is an offline fossil identifier and fossil field guide for fossil hunters — identify fossils at the dig site with no internet, and check fossil collecting laws by state before you collect. WHAT'S INSIDE • Fossil identifier — identify fossils by photo and physical traits • Fossil finder — match trilobites, ammonites, shark teeth, dinosaur fossils, crinoids, brachiopods, petrified wood and more • Fossil collecting laws by state — know what's legal before you dig • Fossil hunting field guide — where-to-look guidance and site context • Paleontology reference — geological periods, fossil classification, species data • 100% offline — the full fossil database in your pocket, no signal needed BUILT FOR FOSSIL HUNTERS From first-time hobbyists to serious collectors, FossilRef is the field guide fossil hunters reach for — at the dig site, on the beach, or in the shale bed. Found a fossil on a beach walk? Prying open shale for trilobites? Asking "what fossil is this?" — FossilRef gives you the answer and the legal context, with no guessing and no dead-end web searches. KNOW THE LAW BEFORE YOU COLLECT Fossil collecting laws vary by state and land type. FossilRef includes state-by-state collecting law summaries so you hunt legally and confidently — a reference no other fossil identifier app includes. Download FossilRef — the offline fossil identifier, fossil finder, and fossil hunting field guide.
