FortyNote is a notes app that opens from your phone, not from the network. Your notes are encrypted on your phone before they are uploaded. We store ciphertext. WRITE ANYTHING Headings, quotes, code blocks, bulleted and numbered lists, checkboxes and to-dos, callouts, collapsible toggles, tables and photos. Markdown shortcuts as you type: # for a heading, - for a bullet, [] for a checkbox, () for a to-do. FIND IT LATER Tap search and type any word you remember. Matches appear as you type, across every note's title and body, with the line it found highlighted. You rarely remember the title. You remember a word that was in it - tokyo, boiler, cabinets. That is enough. WORKS WITHOUT A SIGNAL Sign in once. Every launch after that reads your notes from the phone and syncs quietly behind you. Write on a plane, in a lift, on the underground; it reconciles when you reconnect. TO-DOS THAT LIVE IN YOUR NOTES Add a to-do anywhere in a note, give it a due date, flag it. The Tasks screen gathers every to-do across every note into Overdue, Today, Upcoming and Done, and writes changes back into the note that owns each one. REMINDERS Set a reminder on a note and your phone will tell you, even with the app closed. ORGANISE Notebooks, tags, pinning, a trash you can restore from, and a search that covers all of it. SHARE INTO IT Share a page, a link or a block of text from any app straight into a new note. ON YOUR HOME SCREEN A widget and a long-press shortcut for a new note, both one tap from writing.
