ForgeNotes

ForgeNotes: Private, Offline-First Note-Taking with Optional Smart Widget A clean, distraction-free note-taking app built for privacy, simplicity, and real control. Your notes and checklists stay 100% on your device—no accounts, no tracking, no cloud sync by default. Core Features (Fully Offline) Write plain text notes in seconds Create simple checklists (to-do lists) with checkmarks for tasks, shopping, or plans Save everything locally as files on your device Import text notes or checklists from other apps via the file picker Lightweight, fast, and completely ad-free Minimal permissions for core use: only storage access to save/read your own files Zero internet required for notes, checklists, or basic functionality Smart Widget Enhance your home screen with a dynamic checklist widget that intelligently shows items based on user-defined weather criteria (e.g., show "umbrella" tasks when it's raining, or "outdoor" items on sunny days). 3-day Weather Forecast Widget See your local forecast at a glance on your home screen, with color coded AM/PM cards based on weather severity, and icons to show conditions. Requires granting location permission (approximate or precise) and internet access to fetch current weather data. Completely optional—you can ignore the widget entirely and keep the app 100% offline with no location or network use. No weather data or location is stored, shared, or used beyond powering the widget when enabled. Privacy-First Design Your content is yours alone. We don't collect, share, upload, or analyze anything from your notes or checklists. For the optional widget, location is accessed only when you activate it—no background tracking, no profiling, no third-party sharing beyond fetching weather from services. Everything else runs purely offline. Why ForgeNotes? In a world of bloated, tracking-heavy note apps, this one keeps things pure: local storage, offline core features, and just enough extras—like checklists and an optional smart weather-aware widget—to make daily life easier without compromising privacy. Jot ideas, manage to-dos, import old notes—all under your control. Download now and reclaim your notes (and checklists) with simplicity and privacy.
