Forest Signs is a calm, fully offline companion for walks in the woods. Mark the trees, springs, camps and mushrooms you find, always know the way back to where you started, and learn the forest around you — all without an account, without ads, and without a signal. Everything you save stays on your own device. The forest doesn't come with street signs, so Forest Signs gives you your own. Drop a marker on a great camp spot or a cold spring, and it appears on a quiet, atmospheric map centred on you. When it's time to head home, Silent Return points the way back to your starting point and estimates how long the walk will take — no data connection required, because it all runs on your phone's own sensors. WHY FOREST SIGNS It is built for exactly the place phones usually fail: deep in the trees with no bars of signal. The compass, sun times, moon phase and return navigation are all calculated locally, so they work when nothing else does. There is no account to create, no profile to fill in, and nothing is uploaded — the app has no internet permission at all. It is quiet by design: muted forest colours, gentle motion, and screens that show what matters and get out of the way. PRIVACY Forest Signs works fully offline. There is no account, no tracking, and no ads, and the app cannot send anything anywhere — your markers, routes, journal entries and quiz scores never leave your device. You can export or delete them at any time.
