Forest Nepal

Forest Nepal is a comprehensive digital forestry application designed to support sustainable forest management, field-based data collection, and community forestry operations in Nepal. The app enables forest officials, technicians, and community forest users to carry out essential forestry tasks digitally, reducing paperwork and improving accuracy in the field. Core features include mother tree selection, GPS-based forest mapping, and structured field inventory forms for recording forest data directly from the field. Forest Nepal supports boundary mapping, plot-based inventory, and location-tagged data collection, making it suitable for forest management planning, monitoring, and reporting. All collected data can be securely stored and synchronized for future reference and analysis. In addition to core forestry functions, the app provides several free reference tools to support learning and decision-making. These include a forest dictionary, Non-Timber Forest Product (NTFP) references, crop rotation guidance, and other forestry-related resources useful for practitioners, students, and community users. Forest Nepal is designed for offline field use, with data synchronization when internet connectivity is available. It is built to support real-world forestry workflows while remaining simple, reliable, and practical for daily use. This app promotes digital forestry, sustainable forest use, and efficient field operations through modern mobile technology.
