Full description
Focus with a system, not willpower. FocuSnap turns your smartphone into the ultimate "proctor." It's a new kind of focus app that records your study sessions with a unique mechanism. In beta testing, users increased their weekly study time by an average of 1.78x (*). We solve the problem of "I want to study, but I end up on my phone" with a system that doesn't rely on willpower. ■ Why your study habits don't stick It's not because your willpower is weak. It's because your phone is too tempting. FocuSnap doesn't ask for grit or discipline—it creates an environment where slacking off isn't an option, so you can perform at your best. ■ Three focus mechanisms 1. Random photo capture — your phone becomes a proctor While you study, the app takes photos of your hands at unpredictable times. Not knowing "when you'll be caught" keeps you honest. That exam-room focus can happen at home too. 2. Team & friend sharing — getting caught keeps you accountable Your photos are shared with your team and friends. The feeling of "being watched" is a stronger deterrent than any amount of willpower. When you do well, the same visibility becomes your biggest boost. 3. Photo log — proof of your effort More than a time log. Your study moments stack up as photos. Seeing how much you've actually done multiplies your sense of achievement. ■ Three study modes ・Timer — Set how long you want to focus; the app counts down so you finish with a clear endpoint. ・Pomodoro — Alternating study and break cycles to stay fresh while keeping a steady rhythm. ・Free — Stopwatch-style timing when you don’t want to fix the length before you start. ■ Who it's for ・Exam takers & students — You want to focus at home and get results. ・Professionals studying for certifications — You want gentle accountability without a real supervisor. ・Anyone trying to use their phone less — You want to cut mindless screen time and build self-control. ■ Results ・1.78x study time: Average weekly study time increased in prototype users. ・Better habits: Many users report sustained study routines. ■ Get started FocuSnap is free to start. Stop blaming yourself. Download now and get a new kind of focus. (*) Based on comparison of study time before and after use among prototype users. ■ App Blocking & AccessibilityService API FocuSnap uses the Android AccessibilityService API to provide the app-blocking feature during focus sessions. When you enable app blocking, FocuSnap detects which app is currently open to determine whether it is one of the apps you have selected to block. If a blocked app is opened during a focus session, FocuSnap displays a blocking screen to help you stay focused. The AccessibilityService API is used only for this app-blocking functionality. This feature is optional and works only after you explicitly enable FocuSnap's accessibility service. You can disable the service at any time from your Android accessibility settings.
