"난 물먹어도 살찌는 체질이야!", "난 술을 많이 먹어도 안취하니 술체질인가봐!" 등 흔히 사용하는 예 가운데 하나는 알레르기체질이 라는 말이 있습니다. 봄철에 꽃가루가 많이 날릴 때 쉽게 재채기가 나거나 천식이 생기거나 혹은 피부에 두드러기가 나는 사람이 병원에 가서 검사를 하면 알레르기체질이라서 그렇다고 하는 경우 입니다. 즉 꽃가루에 대하여 과민한 반영을 일으키는 체질이라는 것입니다. 사상의학에서 말하는 체질이란 물론 그런 것은 아닙니다. 또 우리가 흔히 쓰는 말 중에 산성체질, 알칼리성체질이라는 말이 있습니다. 이러한 표현은 체질적 특성을 표현했다기 보다 체액의 성분을 화학적 특성으로 표현한 것에 불과합니다. 사람은 태어날 때부터 오장육부의 기능이 허하고 실한 상태가 다른 태양인, 태음인, 소양인, 소음인 4가지 체질로 구분될 수 있습니다. 질병에 걸렸을 때 각 체질은 물질(화합물)에 다르게 반응하기 때문에 치료약물을 체질에 따라 다르게 선택하여야 치료효과를 높을 수 있다는 인간중심의 의학으로서 현대의 맞춤의학과 맞물려 미래에 가장 떠오르는 통합의학 분야 입니다. 각 체질에 따른 특이성으로 인하여 체질 특유의 성격, 스타일, 체형이 결정되어 개성을 나타내게 되므로, 내 체질을 알게 된다면 체형관리, 직업선택, 취미, 특기, 운동, 스트레스 해소법 등 다양한 삶의 분야에서 나에게 가장 적합한 것들을 선택하여 최고의 나를 만들어갈 수 있습니다. 체리(體理)은 체질의 이치(體質의 理致)를 연구하며 체질과 건강, 체질과 생활, 체질과 행복에 관한 유익한 정보를 제공하고 체질의 이치를 통해 얻은 지식과 즐거움을 모든 분들과 함께 나누고자 합니다
