A free fishing log and catch tracker for anglers. Log every fish you land, and FishRankings scores it against the IGFA all-tackle world record for its species. WHY EVERY SPECIES CAN WIN A board that rewards only the biggest fish has only one kind of winner. This one scores each catch as a percentage of the world record for its own species, so a 1.4 kg perch at 80% of its record beats a 90 kg tuna at 15%. Every species is worth chasing, and every angler has a real shot at the top — not only the ones with a boat and blue water. YOUR FISHING LOGBOOK Keep a proper fishing diary instead of a camera roll you cannot search. Log species, weight, length, girth, method, lure or bait, rod, reel, line class, water and place. Add photos and clips, note whether you kept the fish or released it, and write down what you want to remember. Your whole catch log lives in one place, on the phone and on the web, and every entry is scored and worth points. A FISH GUIDE WITH 393 SPECIES Look up any of 393 game fish across 140 families, saltwater and freshwater — largemouth and smallmouth bass, rainbow and brown trout, northern pike, walleye, zander, carp, perch, Atlantic salmon, striped bass, sea bass, red drum, mahi-mahi, bluefin tuna and marlin. Every species is illustrated by hand and carries its world record, its season month by month, and where in the world it ranges. Compare any two side by side. FISHING FORECAST AND BEST FISHING TIMES Check the conditions before you go. The outlook scores the day out of 100 from real weather — pressure, wind, cloud and temperature — together with sun and moon times. Most "best fishing times" tables come from solunar theory, which is folklore — widely believed, with almost no evidence behind it. This app includes it, because anglers expect it, and labels every factor as observed, plausible or traditional, so you can see how much the moon moved the number and discount it if you like. RANKS, LEADERBOARDS AND CLUBS Points move you up a 500-rung ladder from Deckhand to Tag Master. See leaderboards by species, by country and by season, follow other anglers, start or join a fishing club, keep a tackle box list from a directory of 325 items, collect 28 badges, and get a certificate for a catch you are proud of. A FISHING MAP THAT DOES NOT GIVE YOUR SPOT AWAY Attaching a position to a catch is entirely optional, and nothing is logged if you never turn it on. By default a catch appears on the public fishing map displaced by up to 10 km from where it actually happened, chosen at random for each catch. Your own logbook keeps the true position; everybody else sees the blurred one. You can also show a catch exactly where it happened, or keep it off the map entirely — per catch, every time. Photographs are re-encoded on upload, which strips the EXIF block your camera writes, GPS coordinates included; clips have their location metadata removed. The app never asks for background location and cannot read your position while it is closed. NO ADS, NO TRACKERS, NOTHING TO BUY No advertising network, no analytics SDK, no third-party tracker. Nothing about you is sold, rented or handed to data brokers. You can delete your account yourself, from the You tab, without a support request.
