Just a board that gets better every time you touch it. You start with a few apple seeds and one small plot. Merge the seeds into sprouts, the sprouts into young trees, the young trees into an apple tree you can harvest three times over. Sell the apples at the old roadside shop, merge the coins it pays you, and spend the gold on the next plot of land.
