FindHoard: Coin & Relic ID

FindHoard is a find log, identifier and permission tracker made for metal detectorists. PHOTOGRAPH A FIND, GET A LIKELY MATCH Take a photo of the front and the back. FindHoard suggests what it is — coin, buckle, button, token or musket ball — and the likely period, from Iron Age to modern. For Roman coins it lists the most likely emperors; for American coins, the most likely coin types. Each suggestion comes with museum photographs so you can compare the portrait and lettering yourself. Identification runs on your phone. It works in the middle of a field with no signal, and your photos are never uploaded. A FIND LOG THAT STAYS YOURS Record name, type, material, period, depth, date and notes, with photos of both sides. Add the find spot if you want it: it is encrypted on your phone and never leaves it. Location tags are removed from saved photos. Export your log as a spreadsheet, with or without find spots, or share a find as a picture card. SITES AND PERMISSIONS Keep a list of the places you detect: who gave permission, whether it was verbal or written, and when it expires. See at a glance which sites are covered and which are not. HUNT LOG AND STATS Log each hunt: date, site, time spent, clad, pull-tabs, trash, detector, settings, weather and notes, with the finds from that hunt listed under it. Stats show your totals across finds and hunts. KNOW WHERE NOT TO DIG The map shows protected sites where detecting is not allowed: • England — Scheduled Monuments (Historic England) • Wales — Scheduled Monuments (Cadw) • Scotland — Scheduled Monuments (Historic Environment Scotland) • United States — National Park Service land The protected-site maps are built into the app, so they work offline. If you save a find spot inside a protected site, FindHoard warns you. In the US you can switch the map to USGS topo or satellite layers, and drop your own pins for spots you want to remember. Pins stay on your phone. THE RULES WHERE YOU DETECT Short, plain summaries for all 50 US states and DC, England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, each with its sources: landowner permission, Treasure reporting within 14 days, ARPA on federal land, state park rules and more. If a find could be Treasure, FindHoard reminds you to report it. LOOK IT UP OFFLINE A reference library of 231 entries — coin types, Roman rulers and Greek mints — with museum photographs. Search it any time, no signal needed. BACK UP AND RESTORE Save your whole log to a single .fhbak file and restore it on a new phone. You choose where the file goes. NO ADS. NO TRACKING.
