Full description

Fictate is the dictation app built for one person: you, the fiction author with a story to tell. Most dictation tools are made for emails and meeting notes. Fictate is made for fiction. Dictate your scenes aloud, and Fictate transcribes your voice into text you can shape into your manuscript — so you can write more in less time and build a sustainable fiction-writing career through the power of dictation. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Custom dictionary — Add your characters, places, and invented words so they're spelled right every time. • Dictate naturally — Tap the mic and start speaking your words of fiction. • Transcripts — Your dictation comes back as text you can copy, email, or keep editing. • Cleanup Tool (Author & Fictator plans) — Teach it your formatting and style, and it tidies every transcript the way you would. • Outlines (Author & Fictator plans) — Keep your story structure in front of you while you dictate, scene after scene. • Write anywhere — Your transcripts, recordings, dictionary, and outlines sync across your devices and your web browser, all tied to your account. BUILT FOR YOUR WRITING CAREER Whether you're drafting your first novel or your 150th, Fictate helps you write faster and more sustainably — protecting your time, your body, and your creative energy so you can keep telling stories for years to come. What's new

Rock-solid recording: this update hardens how every take is captured and saved. Recordings show a "Device only" chip until they are backed up to your account, so you always know where your words live. Every recording carries a permanent ID, so it syncs once and only once across your devices. The Fictate™ keyboard now opens the app and tells you why when it needs the microphone or a sign-in. Smoother stops and faster recovery after interruptions. Happy fictating!
