Full description
The chef is not next to the robot. The pirate is the furthest left of them all. The wizard is directly above the guitar case. ERIDDLE is a logic puzzle built from clues like those, and none of them is written down: they are small pictures you read at a glance. Work out who belongs in which spot, then put them there by dragging, or by tapping a character and tapping a spot. Think of Einstein's Riddle, or the zebra puzzle - the classic brain teaser, told in pictures instead of sentences. Every level is a spatial deduction puzzle with exactly one solution, and pure logic will always get you there. That is a guarantee, not a slogan: the generator enumerates the whole state space and throws out any puzzle with two solutions, and any puzzle that would need a lucky pick. So being stuck is never bad luck. It means there is something on the board you have not used yet. What you are playing for is the moment a clue you looked at three minutes ago quietly rules out everything but one carriage, and the last character drops into the only place left. The place changes as you play. The first stretch runs on a train, with the characters riding in the carriages, and from level 13 a luggage rack opens up as a second row underneath, so clues can link characters to the luggage and the deduction roughly doubles. At level 40 the train pulls in and the game carries on in a cafe: characters at the tables, trays in place of luggage, and boards that are sometimes a two-row grid of spots instead of one row of characters over one row of items. On a grid, same row and above stop being decoration and turn into real deductions. - Clues are icons, not sentences: next to, NOT next to, far apart, leftmost, further to the right, directly above, same row, same column, between and more. 16 kinds of clue in all. - No guessing, ever. Every placement a level asks of you can be worked out from the clues already in front of you. - Levels 1 to 39 ride a train, and from level 13 a luggage rack appears as a second row under the carriages: suitcase, hatbox, rucksack, guitar case, picnic basket, umbrella. - From level 40 you get off at a cafe, where the characters take the tables and the second row becomes trays: cappuccino, cake slice, teapot, croissant, milkshake, flower vase, newspaper. The board shape starts to vary here too. - 13 characters, each with its own idle animation: grandma, robot, punk, chef, alien, cat lady, kid, astronaut, pirate, wizard, detective, ballerina, viking. Every level stars a different few. - Drag and drop, or tap to place. Whichever suits your hands. - And if a level goes cold, there is a bank of hints that refills over time. - Daily Riddle: one fresh puzzle every day, with a streak counter. - Night mode dims the scenery and the board for playing in the dark, without dimming the text. - No time limits, no lives, no energy bars. The clock only counts up, and your stars come from hints, not speed. It is a logic puzzle, not a race, so play at your own pace. - Works fully offline, and plays in 30 languages, picked automatically from your device. - Free, contains ads.
