Iris Contrail

Iris Contrail is a side-scrolling night flight. Your biplane holds the left side of a fixed star canyon while hostile craft arrive from the right. Drag anywhere on the canyon to slide. Shots leave the nose on their own. Three fire patterns can be picked up in flight. Spark is a straight needle. Fan spreads three bolts. Lance is a slow heavy shot. A cyan mend restores one hull point. Flying through a vertical aurora ribbon raises the score chain. Darts are small and quick. Blooms burst into a ring when they break. Barges take several hits. Mines drift and crack the hull on contact. Every third wave, a lantern ship enters. Clear its core to bank the wave and continue. The hull has five marks. A hit costs one mark and grants a short blink. When the last mark is gone, the sortie ends and the canyon score is shown. Press FLY AGAIN to start another night from the first wave. ## Gameplay - Drag inside the canyon to move the biplane - Shots fire continuously from the nose - Collect spark, fan, or lance crystals to change the shot pattern - Collect a mend crystal to restore one hull mark - Fly through aurora ribbons to raise the score chain - Break darts, blooms, barges, and mines - On every third wave, destroy the lantern ship - Five hull marks; the last hit ends the sortie
