Murimi Fara helps farmers and families in Zimbabwe see, before it happens, when food, water or feed will run out, and what to do about it. Everything works offline on your phone. No internet or data needed. FOR FAMILIES (COMMUNAL FARMERS) • Count your bags of maize or mealie meal and say how many times a day you cook sadza. • See exactly how many days your food will last, and the date it runs out. • See how many kilograms you need to reach the next harvest, and how much to buy each month. • Get clear ways to make it last: swap one sadza meal for other food, cook a slightly smaller pot, or sell something. • Every answer shows its working, for example "400 kg ÷ 3 kg a day = 133 days", so you can check it yourself. FOR COMMERCIAL FARMERS • See your farm as a picture: the kraal with your cattle count, pens, the water tank and the feed store. • Water in litres, feed in kilograms, animals counted. • See how many days water and feed will last, and how much more you need to reach your date. • Daily needs worked out per animal, then corrected by your own measurements. WHAT TO SELL • Add everything you own: cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens and other animals, plus a bicycle, car, TV or anything else, with your own prices. • Murimi Fara works out what to sell to cover what is missing. Small animals are suggested first. Oxen, donkeys, the plough and the scotch cart are always kept. PLAY YOUR SEASON • Try a plan and watch it day by day until the harvest: the granary empties, sales bring in food, and you see where your family lands. • Compare your plan with carrying on as now.
