Stop Rot

Stop Rot provides a simple, user-controlled shortcut for turning Android grayscale on or off. Use the app, an optional notification card, or a home-screen widget. An optional lifetime Pro unlock adds a floating control and per-app triggers. Stop Rot never changes grayscale automatically. After you request a change, Stop Rot opens the Color correction page in Android Settings, reads interface labels on that Settings page, and activates the grayscale control you selected. The Accessibility service is restricted to supported Android Settings apps. It does not inspect content in other apps. Settings content is processed temporarily in memory and is never collected, stored, logged, transmitted, or shared. Every settings change is initiated by you and can be reversed at any time. You can also revoke Accessibility permission in Android Settings. Notification permission is used for the optional notification card and, when Pro app tracking is on, for the required monitoring card. Pro privacy and permissions Pro can optionally use Usage Access to identify when an app you selected is on screen and to count that app's daily usage. This processing happens only on your device. Stop Rot does not read messages, passwords, or content inside other apps. The selected-app list and usage totals are never sold, shared, or used for advertising or analytics. Pro can optionally use Display over other apps to show a small floating grayscale button. It is not a full-screen overlay and hides on Android Settings, permission screens, the installer, the lock screen, and Stop Rot. These Pro permissions are requested only when you enable the related feature and are not required for core grayscale switching. Stop Rot has no internet permission. Google Play Billing handles the optional Pro purchase and checks entitlement through Google Play on the device. Stop Rot does not operate an account system or backend server. Stop Rot is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Results with grayscale vary.
