Ditch: Boat Navigation

Ditch provides captains with the smartest routes by leveraging advanced AI to analyze billions of data points, empowering confident navigation. Our proprietary Smart Path™ technology considers AIS data and local knowledge to create the safest and most efficient routes for your boat. We're committed to empowering every captain, new or experienced, to navigate with clarity and confidence. KEY FEATURES Breadth & Depth: We combine multiple sources of satellite-based AIS data with high-resolution NOAA depth soundings and US Army Corps of Engineers bathymetry surveys, offering unparalleled coverage and detail. Constant Evolution: We're continuously expanding our data sources and refining our algorithms, ensuring that Smart Path™ is always learning and improving. In fact, our latest version utilizes roughly 10 times the amount of data compared to previous iterations. Recency: We prioritize fresh data, filtering out outdated information to ensure the most accurate and up-to-date recommendations. Transparency: We believe in empowering our users. That's why we provide a layer that allows captains to visualize a sample of the AIS data that Smart Path™ uses to generate routes. This provides valuable insights to the captain into the decision-making process and helps build trust in our technology. Comprehensive Picture: By combining NOAA depths, USACE bathymetry, and satellite AIS data, we give captains a comprehensive view of the underwater landscape and vessel traffic patterns, providing a unique advantage in route planning. In addition to NOAA depth sounding contours, Ditch includes the U.S. Army Corps of engineers survey data (where available) at no extra cost. AI Powered: Our cutting-edge technology analyzes millions of miles of real-world boating data. Ditch creates the optimal route for your boat. Effortless exploration: Ditch suggests safe and efficient routes, letting you focus on the thrill of discovery and safer boating. GPS location: Ditch uses your mobile device to provide marine navigation and boat chart information that is relevant to you. Filter & Customize: Routes created in Ditch can be filtered based on boat size and other factors that matter to you. Routes made by captains that you like to follow can be quickly identified by color. Make Your Mark: Quickly mark important places on the map, and search for landmarks. All devices running Ditch, and the Ditch web site, are all automatically updated with your data. We are a problem-solving, innovation-driven boat navigation app that's not just disrupting the market but elevating the entire boating experience. We don't replace your expertise, we enhance it. We're not just changing the map, we're changing the way you experience the water. We're committed to empowering every captain, new or experienced, to navigate with clarity and confidence. Ditch.
