HOW ETRUVIO USES THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE etruvio uses Android's AccessibilityService API on a child's device to provide the app's core feature: app limits and focus time, agreed with the family and set by a parent or guardian. What the service does: - Detects which app is currently in the foreground on the child's device. - When that app is limited or outside the agreed screen time, etruvio shows a full-screen reminder and returns the child to the home screen, including closing picture-in-picture windows so a limited app cannot keep playing. - Shows the name of the app currently open on the parent's dashboard, inside the same family account. What the service does not do: - It does not read, record or store the content of the screen, text, messages, passwords or keystrokes. - It does not use this data for advertising, and it is not sold. How it is enabled: - A parent or guardian sets up the child's device and turns the service on, after the app explains what it is for. - It can be turned off at any time in Android Settings > Accessibility, which switches off app limits on that device.
