AltiSteps is a quiet pedometer and altimeter for walking and touring. One screen: today. Start a measurement. The phone can stay in a pocket. Stop when you are done. AltiSteps shows: • current elevation — the large number in the middle • steps and distance • elevation gain and loss • minimum and maximum altitude A month heatmap keeps each day’s totals on the phone. Tap a day to see that day. Start measurement always jumps back to today. No accounts. No feed. No training plans. No cloud. Today’s figures live on the device and, unless you turn it off, reset each day at a local time you choose (midnight by default). Settings (stride, units, GPS sources, noise, theme) stay on the phone. Location and the step counter are used only while a measurement is running. Phones with a barometer use it to smooth +/− m. Metres or feet are chosen in Settings. The app follows the system language. If an update is available you can install it, postpone it, or skip that version.
