OctaVR is an Android VR video player for locally stored video files. If an 8K or high-frame-rate video can be decoded but your phone cannot keep up with real-time playback, OctaVR includes an on-device pre-optimization option that converts 60fps video to 30fps to reduce playback load. You can also cut only the A-B section you need into a separate MP4 without re-encoding, then optimize that smaller clip instead of processing the entire source video. 8K VR PLAYBACK & PRE-OPTIMIZATION • Local playback of 8K-class video when supported by your device's hardware decoder • Optional 60fps → 30fps pre-optimization to reduce playback load • Free users can try one 30-second pre-optimization preview • Premium unlocks full-length pre-optimization 8K60 playback smoothness and pre-optimization availability depend on your device's codec capabilities. LOSSLESS A-B CLIPPING Set A and B points and save that section as a separate MP4 without re-encoding the video or audio. The original image quality and frame rate are preserved, making it practical to extract only the part you need from a large file before pre-optimizing it. Because the clip must start from a valid keyframe, the exported file may begin slightly before the selected A point.
