ChainSight

ChainSight shows where a property sale stands, and where the other sales in its chain stand too. It is for estate agents in England and the buyers and sellers they work with. If your estate agent has sent you this app, they have already set up your account. Sign in with the email address they used and ChainSight will email you a code. There is no password. ChainSight is by invitation only. You cannot create an account in the app: buyers and sellers are invited by their agent, and agents join through their agency. FOR BUYERS AND SELLERS • See your property's status: For Sale, Under Offer, Sale Agreed, Exchanged or Completed. • Follow 15 milestones in four groups: legal, financial, survey and searches, and completion. For example: solicitor appointed, mortgage offer received, searches complete, contracts exchanged. • See the rest of your chain: the properties linked to yours and how far along each one is. What you can see about other people's properties is deliberately limited, to protect their privacy. • See who is handling your property, and call them from the app. • Get a notification when your property's status or one of its milestones changes. FOR ESTATE AGENTS The app works alongside the ChainSight web app at app.chainsight.co.uk. It is built for keeping a sale up to date between calls. In the app you can: • See who is handling each property on your list. • Move a property on to its next status. • Mark milestones as done, or as not applicable. • Choose whether the agent on a linked property can see your milestones. • Link a property to the one its seller is buying or the one its buyer is selling, and accept, decline or end chain links. • Claim a new address for your agency. • Invite a buyer or seller to follow the sale. Registering an agency, managing agents and branches, and account settings stay on the web app. SIGNING IN Everyone signs in with a code sent by email. Agents also confirm with a code from an authenticator app. When you come back to ChainSight, your phone's fingerprint or face unlock can open it instead of signing in again. WHAT CHAINSIGHT DOES NOT DO ChainSight tracks progress. It does not hold legal documents, identity documents or payment details, and it does not connect to solicitors' or lenders' systems. It needs an internet connection. YOUR ACCOUNT You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time: in the app, tap "Delete my account" under your name on the list of properties, or visit app.chainsight.co.uk/delete-account.
