Emergency REC: Voice Recorder

Emergency REC is a voice recorder app that starts recording the moment you tap its icon. No menus, no searching for a button. In a tense moment, that's one less thing to think about. Recording is free and unlimited. There are no ads, and your recordings are kept on your phone. ■ Free features • One tap to record After a short first-time setup, tapping the app icon starts recording. Prefer to see the app first? Under “When the app opens” in Settings, choose “Home screen” or “Ask every time” instead. • Long recordings, saved in parts “Safety save” is always on. Audio is saved in parts of up to 30 minutes, so if the battery runs out or the app is closed, earlier parts are kept. • No limits Record as long and as often as you need. Your phone's storage is the only limit. • No ads There are no ads in the app, so nothing pops up or interrupts you while you record. • Stop from the notification While you record, the “Recording in progress” notification has a “Stop” button. ■ Pro: one bundle for your lawyer One-time purchase. No subscription. Pro keeps each case's recordings and notes together and exports them as one bundle, so you don't have to send files one by one. • ZIP of originals + list PDF: your original recordings together with a PDF that lists dates, lengths and notes • SHA-256 hashes: show whether a file changed after it was bundled • Multiple projects: group recordings by case or person, and record straight into a project • On-site note template: date & time, people present, points to confirm and next steps • Google Drive backup: saved to your own Google Drive, only when you turn it on • Save in shorter parts: 1, 3, 5 or 10 minutes instead of 30 Hashes don't confirm that what was said is true, and they don't guarantee that a recording will be accepted as evidence. The app doesn't transcribe or summarize recordings. Before you delete the app or switch phones, save the files you need somewhere else. ■ About recording • Emergency REC is meant for recording conversations you take part in. We recommend stopping the recording when you leave. • Recording other people's private conversations, for example by leaving your phone recording after you walk away, may be against the law. • Laws on recording conversations differ by country and region.
