This is Emberside. It's where a small group lives between gatherings. Start with the obvious part. Everyone can see when you're meeting, where, and what you're reading — the passage is in the app, the whole Bible is, and it works with no signal, because church basements are church basements. Then prayer, which is most of what a group actually does for each other. Somebody asks. People stand with them — and it says ten with Nina, not ten likes. The person who asked, and only that person, says where it landed. It was answered. Or it went another way... and we stop asking for that, and stay with you. That second one matters. A request that ends hard doesn't get confetti and doesn't get archived. It sits there, open, because the group hasn't stopped. And it never nudges anyone again. There's a group chat. A calendar people actually reply to. A shelf for the things you keep sending each other. And if you're the one who leads... Emberside quietly keeps track of who's been around lately and who hasn't. Not a score. Not something anyone else can see. Just a nudge, on a Tuesday morning, about the person you'd have thought of yourself if you weren't also raising kids and holding down a job. It builds that only from things people did in the open. Turning up. Praying for someone. Saying yes to a gathering. It does not count app opens, or how long you stayed, or where you were — and it never will. That's written into the database, not just the marketing. If your church runs several groups, its staff see that the groups are healthy. How many people, and how many have gone quiet. They cannot see one prayer request or one line of chat. Not one. Five people, free, forever. Thirty on a paid group. And a church can cover all of its groups at once. Emberside. Carry each other.

What's new

Teens in a church can message each other privately, with safety checks still on, and youth leaders can pair two people for a one-to-one conversation. Pictures can be sent in private conversations once they pass safety checks. Church admins can mute someone in the church chat, and admins are marked there. Members not yet in a group get a home screen. Group settings are organized into sections, and churches can add a phone number.
