Ember Merge

Ember Merge - a sliding puzzle played on a 4x4 field filled with embers, stones and lava symbols of several ranks. A swipe in any of the four directions pushes every symbol on the field to that side, and two touching symbols of the same rank fuse into one symbol of the next rank, with each fusion adding points to the running total. After every swipe that changes the field a new low rank symbol appears on a free cell, so open space shrinks as the session goes on and later moves have to be planned more carefully. The panel above the field tracks the current total, the top total reached so far and the highest rank present in the session. A session ends when the strongest fire symbol is assembled or when the field is full and no neighbouring pair can fuse; the closing panel then shows the highest rank symbol, its number and the final total, and marks the moment a rank is opened for the first time. A pause control freezes the session and offers a return to the menu or a fresh start, and the field can also be cleared at any time from the game screen. The collection screen lists all six symbols in order and keeps the ones already assembled bright, while the rest stay dimmed until they are reached. The top total and the opened symbols are saved on the device and stay available between launches.
