Full description
Kept is an RSS reader and a read-later app in one, and it does not ask you to sign up. Open it and it works. No account, no email, no password, no server of ours holding your reading. Your feeds, your saved articles and your reading history live on your phone. Start with something to read Pick a few topics on the first screen and Kept subscribes you to a starting set from a curated directory of publications. Change anything later, or skip it and add your own. Follow anything with a feed, and more Paste a website address and Kept finds its feed. Follow YouTube channels and Reddit communities by name. Import OPML from Feedly, Inoreader or anywhere else, and export it again whenever you like. Save the whole article, not a link Share any page, picture, recording or PDF to Kept and it keeps it. Articles come in cleaned up and readable, text and images, so they are still there on a plane or in a dead spot. Open EPUB books as a collection of chapters. Read it the way you want to read it Themes, real typography controls, and an immersive reader. Lay your feed out as a list, cards, a grid or a front page, and use the whole screen on a foldable or tablet. Speed reading mode for when you want to get through it. Or let your phone read it aloud. Mark up what matters Highlight a passage, write a note beside it, tag anything you keep. Every highlight sits in one place with the article it came from. Export as Markdown or PDF, or export everything at once. Find it again Search the full text of everything: feeds, saved articles and your own notes. Instant, and on the phone. Tell it what to watch for, and what to bury Give Kept a word and it tells you when an article mentions it. Give it a word you never want to read about and those stories stay out of your feed. "Fewer like this" and one-tap unsubscribe right where you meet a source. Notifications are off until you switch them on. Sync and back up on your terms Point Kept at a WebDAV folder you already own, like Nextcloud, and your devices stay in step through your own storage. A browser extension can keep pages into the same folder. Or back up the whole library to a single file and restore it on a new phone. There is no Eight Point Labs account and no Eight Point Labs sync server. Free for a week, then one purchase Install Kept and everything is on for 7 days, newsletters, connections and every theme included. After the week, a single Kept Pro purchase through Google Play keeps it all working. No subscription, no ads. Kept Pro also covers: • Newsletters, read straight from a folder in your own mailbox, no forwarding address needed • Connections: what you keep and highlight flows to Readwise, Notion or a webhook of your own • Send any article to Obsidian, or to your Kindle or e-reader as an e-book • Every theme, Optical Glass and Sapphire Jewel included Pay once and it is yours. It is tied to your Google account, so it comes back by itself on a new phone. If you decide not to buy, your library is still yours: backup and export keep working after the week, so everything you saved goes with you. What Kept does not do No ads. No account. No tracking of what you read. The privacy policy says exactly what leaves your phone and why, in plain language. Made by Eight Point Labs.
