Whether you’re backing up a lifetime of photos or syncing complex project folders across platforms, egos ensures your data stays exactly where it belongs: on your own devices. 🛡️ Privacy First, Always Unlike traditional cloud providers, egos never sees your files. By leveraging advanced Peer-to-Peer (P2P) technology, your data is encrypted and transferred directly between your phone, PC, and NAS nodes. No middleman, no tracking, and zero cloud storage fees. 🚀 Key Features Automated Photo & Video Backup: Set it and forget it. Automatically sync your entire camera roll to your computer or private storage node over Wi-Fi or LAN. High-Speed P2P Transfer: Send large files, 4K videos, and massive archives at maximum network speeds without size limits. Cross-Platform Sync: Keep your documents and folders consistent across Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux. Lightweight NAS Mode: Turn any old device into a storage hub. Access and manage your files remotely within your private network. End-to-End Encryption: Your transfers are secured with industry-standard encryption, ensuring total data sovereignty. 📁 Why egos Requires "All Files Access" To provide a seamless NAS and synchronization experience, egos requires the MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission. This is essential for: Full-Directory Synchronization: Standard APIs cannot handle the recursive syncing of complex folder structures (including .zip, .pdf, and raw data) required for a professional-grade NAS tool. Automated Background Backup: To ensure your photos and documents are backed up instantly as they are created, egos needs to efficiently scan designated directories in the background. Cross-Platform Consistency: Managing file integrity and versioning across different operating systems requires direct file system access to prevent data loss. We only access folders and files that you explicitly designate for backup or sharing. 💡 Perfect For: Photographers & Creators: Safely back up high-res media without paying for extra cloud space. Privacy Advocates: Take total control of your digital footprint with decentralized storage. Independent Professionals: Sync work projects and documents across multiple workstations instantly. Families: Create a private family "cloud" for sharing memories without social media tracking. Download egos today and reclaim your digital sovereignty.
