Full description
MorseTone is designed for people who already know Morse code, as well as learners looking to strengthen and reinforce their existing knowledge through everyday use. It turns selected contact names into distinctive Morse-code ringtones, helping you recognise callers by sound before looking at your phone. Customise the sound, search for and select contacts, preview their names, then apply the ringtones. Contacts you do not select remain unchanged. Features: - Tonal, telegraph, bell, horn, pulse and spoken dit-dah sound styles - Adjustable Morse speed, volume and name length - Adjustable frequency for Classic Morse - Optional DE prefix - Optional offline Android voice that speaks the Morse name after the tones - Custom Morse names for nicknames or awkward contact formats - Searchable contact selection - Timed visual previews showing each letter and its dots and dashes - Optional phone-default Morse ringtone for calls without their own ringtone - On-device recovery files and a clear Undo MorseTone changes option MorseTone uses a contact’s given name when Android provides one. You can override the name used for Morse without changing the contact itself. Privacy is deliberately simple. Contact names and ringtone settings are processed locally on your device and are not sent to the developer. MorseTone has no Internet permission, analytics, advertising, accounts or tracking. Contacts access is required to display eligible contacts and assign or restore their custom ringtones. MorseTone does not read or store phone numbers. Optional system-settings access is used only if you choose to change the phone’s default ringtone or MorseTone needs to restore it later. Recovery files remain on your device in Downloads/MorseTone. They may contain contact lookup identifiers and ringtone references, but not phone numbers. Support is optional and does not unlock features. Support, privacy, rating and credit links open in your browser.
