La aplicación RCP para Padres nos ofrece de una manera sencilla información instantánea sobre la realización de maniobras de Reanimación CardioPulmonar (RCP) en neonatos y lactantes y en los casos en los que se produzca una Obstrucción de la Vía Aérea por un Cuerpo extraño (OVACE). El contenido de esta aplicación consta de: -Vídeos formativos con la secuencia completa a realizar en casos de parada cardiorrespiratoria y/o obstrucción de la vía aérea por un cuerpo extraño. - Vídeos formativos de cada maniobra de manera individualizada. - Imágenes y textos ilustrativos donde se describe cada paso a realizar. - Posibilidad de descarga de los vídeos en sus terminales o visualización online de los mismos. - Botón de llamada de emergencia al servicio 112. - Vídeos subtitulados en castellano para personas con discapacidad auditiva. Esta aplicación sigue las recomendaciones del Grupo Español de Reanimación Cardiopulmonar Pediátrica y Neonatal (GERCPPYN). Ha sido realizada por un grupo de sanitarios pertenecientes a la Unidad de Neonatología y Medicina Intensiva Pediátrica del Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria (HUNSC) en Santa Cruz de Tenerife, donde, desde el año 2011, ofrecemos a los padres de nuestros pacientes formación en RCP Básica Pediátrica y Neonatal. Ahora queremos hacérsela llegar a todos ustedes a través de esta aplicación, para que cualquiera que lo desee pueda disponer de ella. Esta aplicación es totalmente gratuita. La información contenida en esta aplicación no sustituye en forma alguna a una adecuada formación en Reanimación Cardiopulmonar pero resulta muy útil para tener un rápido panorama. Desde aquí queremos animarles a realizar formación reglada sobre Reanimación Cardiopulmonar ya que gracias a ello se pueden salvar muchas vidas.
