La parada cardiaca es la principal causa de mortalidad en España tras el cáncer. Cada 20 minutos se produce un caso de muerte súbita y en muchos de estos casos podría haberse evitado si hubiéramos tenido un Desfibrilador (DEA) a nuestro alcance. El 80% de los casos de infarto tiene lugar fuera del ámbito hospitalario: * El tiempo para poder salvar a una víctima de parada cardiorrespiratoria es de 4-5 minutos y, por cada minuto que se pierde, desciende un 10% las probabilidades de supervivencia. * Disponer de un desfibrilador en este escaso margen de tiempo puede contribuir a salvar muchas vidas. * Es muy importante que una persona que está sufriendo una parada cardiorrespiratoria reciba una atención rápida con un desfibrilador en un plazo máximo de 5 minutos. * Si el uso de un desfibrilador se produce en menos de cinco minutos, las posibilidades de supervivencia se incrementan entre el 70%-90%. El tiempo medio de respuesta de los servicios de urgencia es de 15 minutos por lo que disponer de un DEA en menos de 5 minutos es CLAVE para salvar VIDAS. Si estás sufriendo un infarto o alguien de tu entorno cercano, no dudes en solicitar ayuda a través de la red de lifesharing Verlife. NUESTRO OBJETIVO: Acercar un DEA y un asistente cualificado, lo antes posible, a la persona que lo necesita. Tú también puedes convertirte en héroe. Pero resulta insuficiente y no siempre el desfibrilador y el personal, correctamente formado para su uso, está cerca de donde se produce el accidente. HÉROES: Multitud de vehículos en movimiento, circulando por las ciudades, portadores de un DEA, formados para su utilización y capaces de llegar lo antes posible donde sea necesario.
