L’application Balliz utilise la réalité augmentée pour guider l'utilisateur le long de parcours piétons prédéterminés et lui fournir des informations sur les points d’intérêt des lieux traversés. Elle propose des itinéraires piétons spécifiques lors d’événements éphémères (sportifs, culturels…) pour guider au mieux les flux de visiteurs, ou tout simplement des parcours touristiques que la collectivité souhaite mettre en avant de façon pérenne. Le mode 'parcours' permet de choisir son itinéraire parmi ceux proposés. Le mode 'carte' permet de visualiser l'itinéraire en 2D. Le mode 'caméra' permet d'activer la réalité augmentée pour guider l'utilisateur grâce à des panneaux et des flèches directrices, et lui proposer des lieux d'intérêt sur son parcours, mais aussi des points d'attention (travaux, carrefours...). La solution Balliz est accompagnée d'un site web cartographique qui permet à la collectivité de tracer simplement les parcours, la signalétique et les points d’intérêt.
