Full description
Eddy Quill Spins is a quiet logic puzzle about rotational symmetry. Dots are scattered across a grid. Some sit in the middle of a square, some on the line between two squares, some on the corner where four squares meet. Your job is to cut the whole grid into regions so that every region holds exactly one dot, stays in one connected piece, and lands perfectly on itself when you turn it half a circle about its own dot. That last rule is the whole game. Nothing here is about counting or arithmetic. It is about seeing that if a square belongs to a dot, then the square directly opposite that dot belongs to it too. Place one square and its mirror appears, and the field starts to close itself around you. WHAT YOU GET - Three plate sizes: 7 x 7, 9 x 9 and 11 x 11. - Every field is built fresh and then tested by a solver, so you only ever play a puzzle with a single answer. - Two ways to play. Tap a square and then the dot it turns about, and the mirrored square is filled in for you. Or draw boundaries directly by tapping the line between two squares. Switch style whenever you like, and your progress carries over. - Check flags regions that are broken apart, hold no dot, or hold more than one. - Hint completes one whole region when a field will not open up. - Undo steps back through your placements one at a time. - A timer, best times for each plate size, and a record of everything you have resolved. - Fourteen marks of merit to work towards, all earned from your own record. QUIET BY DESIGN The whole thing is drawn as an astronomy plate: deep ink, fine silver boundaries, one warm amber dot for every region. Nothing flashes, nothing rushes you, and there is no score multiplier chasing you down. COMPLETELY OFFLINE This app never touches the internet. There is no network code in it at all. That also means no ads, no tracking, no accounts, no sign-in and nothing to buy. Your record lives on your device and nowhere else. NO SOUND There is no audio of any kind. Not a click, not a chime, not a background track. Feedback is visual, with an optional short haptic tap that you can switch off. Play it anywhere without disturbing anyone. Fields are generated on your device, one at a time, and checked for a single answer before they reach you. Take as long as you like over each one.
