ECL & ALCPT English Trainer

Prepare for the ECL and the ALCPT with an app built for serious candidates. ECL English Trainer is an advanced preparation tool for the English Comprehension Level test and the American Language Course Placement Test. It was designed for officers, NCOs and professionals who already speak English and need to reach the score their career depends on. Independent app. Not affiliated with DLIELC, the U.S. Department of Defense or any government. All questions are original practice material, not official test forms. TRAIN WITH YOUR EARS, NOT ONLY YOUR EYES Every question can be read aloud. The app speaks the sentence, then announces each option by its letter, A, B, C, D. Blanks are respected by a real silence, so you hear the gap exactly as you would in a listening test. This changes how you can revise. Walk, drive to work, or rest your eyes, and keep training. The audio turns dead time into listening practice, and it trains the skill the ECL listening section actually measures: understanding a sentence in one pass, at natural speed. Once you answer, the app can also read the correct answer and its explanation aloud, so a full training loop runs without you touching the screen. 1,900+ QUESTIONS, EVERY ONE EXPLAINED Grammar, vocabulary in context, American idioms, phrasal verbs and military register, organised by topic so you can attack your weak points directly: - Tenses, modals, passive, conditionals, reported speech - Prepositions, determiners, sentence structure - Vocabulary in context, the exact ECL question format - American idioms and phrasal verbs - Military and defence vocabulary - A graded module test and a timed practice test Each answer comes with a short explanation of the rule, not just a correction. You learn why, so the same trap does not catch you twice. A COACH THAT REMEMBERS YOUR MISTAKES Every question you miss goes into your mistake box. It comes back the next day, then three days later, then a week later. Three correct answers in a row and it leaves the box for good. This is spaced repetition, the method that makes revision stick. You do not have to decide what to review. The app knows, and brings it back at the right moment. Your progress is saved automatically. Stop at question 30 and the app resumes exactly there. TIMED PRACTICE TEST Thirty seconds per question, the exam standard: 10 minutes for 20 questions, 50 minutes for 100. Adjustable in settings. No feedback during the test, full report at the end, exactly like the real thing. ALSO INSIDE - 112 irregular verbs with audio - 115 American idioms explained with examples - 306 corrected gap-fill drills - Search across every question, idiom, verbs - Daily goal, streak counter and progress charts - Two reading themes, including a paper theme for long sessions WORKS COMPLETELY OFFLINE Everything is on your device. No account, no registration, no connection needed. Train in a barracks, on a ship, on a plane. Free, supported by occasional ads between practice sets. Never during a question, never during the timed test.
