Full description
Telltale reads the notification mail your servers and services already send and turns it into one status per service. You see at a glance what is wrong right now, and you get a notification when something changes. There is no agent to install, no server to run and no account. Telltale connects to the mailbox your system mail arrives in over encrypted IMAP and does all the work on your device. WHAT TELLTALE READS Built-in parsers understand Proxmox backups (vzdump and Backup Server), Plesk backups, certbot renewals, cron output, smartd disk warnings, ZFS events, mdadm RAID, apcupsd UPS events, fail2ban and unattended upgrades on Debian and Ubuntu. For anything else you build your own parser from a real mail and see the result while you edit. SILENCE COUNTS Telltale knows when a daily report is due. If it does not arrive, you are told on time, even with the app closed. CHECKS Next to mail, Telltale pings your hosts, tests TCP ports and web pages, and warns you before TLS certificates expire. DAY TO DAY - One list of everything that needs attention, worst first - Acknowledge a problem with one tap, with undo - Separate notifications for problems and recoveries, each with its own sound and importance - A home screen widget, a Quick Settings tile and app shortcuts - Colours from your wallpaper or Telltale's own PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your mail never leaves your device. Passwords are stored encrypted with a key from the Android Keystore. Telltale has no account, no analytics and no tracking. TELLTALE PRO The free version covers one mailbox with two custom parsers and three checks. Pro removes these limits. It is available as a yearly subscription with a two-week free trial or as a one-time purchase. Seeing problems, getting notifications and acknowledging them are always free.
